"A Curious Absence"

Don Oakley will be presenting online discourses on Zoom Tuesday April 1st at 6:30 pm EDT. These talks are on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays.
These talks are an invitation to look within for yourself at life's most important questions rather than a philosophical exposition. Through this communication medium, we can carefully inquire into the very nature of these questions and ourselves to find the timeless, unchanging essence that we are.
There is no charge or registration requirement to join these presentations which consist of a brief introductory guided meditation, a half hour discourse and time for questions. 1st and 3rd Tuesdays each month.
These talks are non-denominational and are a direct pointing to one's own true nature.
"Most of us are quite certain that there is an individual separate self that we call “me,” but when we make a concerted effort to locate such a self we find it surprisingly elusive. We find telltale debris in the form of thoughts, feelings and memories, but there is a curious absence as to the originator of such effects. We tend to dismiss these direct observations in favor of the presumption that “I” must be in there somewhere. This territory is rich with surprises."
Don Oakley is the author of "It's Time to Wake Up Now: The Top Ten Myths that Can Hijack Spiritual Awakening," a five star rated book on Amazon, and his new book: "Empty Wisdom: The Subtle Art of Becoming What You Already Are." He is also the Founding Director of Well Being Foundation and a Director of Adyashanti's Open Gate Sangha non-profit organization. Previous talks in this series may be found on Don's YouTube Channel, his Instagram Channel, or on his weekly "Well Being with Don Oakley" podcasts available on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
